Give You My Money, For You Make My Song (Reverse Busking Love Tactic)

On October 1, 2017, I contributed new work to Staten Island performance art collective Day de Dada's Apres Avante Garde Festival, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 5th annual Apres Avante Garde Festival in 1967, in which artists including Yoko Ono performed on the Staten Island Ferry for 24 continuous hours.

My work, Give You My Money for You Make My Song (Reverse Busking Love Tactic), was performed at the Manhattan Ferry terminal.  It marked my first use of the developing reverse busking concept, which examines the commodification of art and the nature of value in art; the relationship between artist and audience; purity in art; co-creation in art.
